Oh Shanghai … you were one heck of a journey that I’ll always want to relive. It took so much guts to leave LA and my career, but I have no regrets for realizing LGTA 2009. You gave me more new life experiences, international friendships, China adventures, and blackouts than I can count. I am thankful for all the fun and people who made LGTA the best decision I’ve made in my life thus far. LXB baby!

Memorial Day (Crispy Thighs Weekend): 5.26.09:

Each trip to SF only gets more extreme and thus, all the more memorable. This was the perfect end to my busy season. All the drinking, eating, dancing, photo-taking, BK crown wearing … I know I wouldn’t be able to do this with anyone else other than my friends from high school. You guys – Elaine, Allen, Ken, Amy, Dan, Linda Kwong, Caroline – rock. I have the best group of friends. : ) Thank you for putting up with my craziness.

Forever Young: Duo Yee & Kevin’s Wedding (10.11.08):

After hours of relentlessly practicing Uncle Sam and Uncle Chin’s clubbing moves, we finally got to showcase our amazing dance skills at the wedding. Ha! All kidding aside, it was the most memorable/hilarious wedding I’ve ever been a part of. Thanks for asking me to be your bridesmaid! I enjoyed the entire experience … perhaps, a bit too much. ; ) Congrats Duo Yee and Uncle Special K!!

Second Year Training: Vegas & Scottsdale (7.18 – 7.25):

I haven’t mentioned much about my coworkers so here’s a special tribute to my incredible friends. As cliche as it sounds, it always comes down to the “people.” Despite all the long hours, stress, and low pay, at least we have each other. Everyone needs to stick it out for another year so we can top training 08! Thanks for all the fun and memories!

Zaki, Andrea, Chris, Nancy, and Israel – I’m so proud of each of you. Please take what you’ve learned at College Summit and “bring it” to anyone or anything that dare challenges you about going to college. You guys can do it! Thanks for inspiring me and making four days seem like such a memorable journey.

Redlands has such a nice campus.

Group love … really. I was tearing up before we took this picture.

Asian Invasion (5.31 – 6.21)

Exactly what I needed and have been waiting for: a reawakening that was long overdue. Asia never fails to open up my eyes – not only to extraordinary culture, history, and scenery, but also to my innermost fears, dreams, and hopes. I’ve always felt like I belonged in Asia, and hopefully, that will come true in the near future.

SF Round 3 – 5.1

Weekend celebrations began w Elaine @ Alembic for the big 23 and ended w a family reunion for my older brother’s UCSF graduation. Nothing excessive, but it was enough to keep me :D . I cannot help but love the city, the friends, the memories. Let the good times roll.

Union Square – Classic.

Golden Gate Park. It’s so green; I’m not used to this!

Because it wouldn’t be San Francisco without it.

Because life would suck without you guys.

One of my favorites, especially with all the wine glasses. An indication that it was a good night. ;D

The Kims.

SF Round 2

I love visiting Allen and Elaine. Too much goodness, too little time. It’s going down 5/1. Be ready. Tagged and no tag backs: Elaine, Caroline, Kevin, Kenneth, Allen, Kyna.

Spring vacation to Japan with my mom. A beautiful and green trip, but painful experience to be with my mother 24/7 for 11 days. Regardless, the country’s scenery is amazing. And the butt-cleansing toilets? What an invention!
